- What To Expect
- Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to this appointment and proceed to the THIRD floor of the building.
- Do NOT put lotions, creams, oils, perfume or fragrance of any sort or powder on your chest area prior to this appointment. If you have chest hair you may be asked if it can be shaved, if you're unable to comply pls advise before attending the appointment.
- Please wear loose clothing to make putting on the monitor easier. You cannot shower or bathe during the 24 hours and must bring the monitor back after 24 hours.
- You may bring one support person, aged 16 or older, but only if you need help with translation.
- Children may not accompany patients during the test or left unattended in the waiting area.
- Details
- Monitors must be returned promptly at the designated time specified by the technician. Patients will incur a late fee for delays of 30 minutes or more beyond the scheduled return.
- Please bring a credit card and photo ID. You will be asked to sign a contract advising after inspection if damage is found an estimate will be sent to the patient prior to being automatically charged. Please note we require a valid credit card for the preauthorization process. If you do not have a credit card, we will accept $100.00 cash. We do not accept Apple Pay.
- Upon the return of the monitor, our technician will conduct a thorough inspection of your device by day's end. Should any damages be identified during inspection, we will promptly obtain a quote from the repair company.
- Subsequently, we will contact you to discuss the liability for repair costs if they surpass the pre-authorized or deposited amount. If not you should expect the release of your funds to occur 10 to 15 days after your device drop off date.
- If the results are insufficient, the test will need to be repeated at no additional cost to the patient or Alberta Health Services.

- Please note If this appointment is not suitable for you, kindly contact us by phone only at least 48 hours before the scheduled time during the business hours of 8:00 am-4:00 pm from Monday- Friday excluding weekends and holidays.
- Please kindly note that our company email is not monitored 24 hours. Any appointments cancelled/rescheduled without the required 48 business hour notice will incur a fee of $50.00.

What does the Holter do?
It is a portable ECG machine that measures your heart rate. It is a continuous reading for 24/48 hours.
What should I do if the stickers come off?
If this happens you can stick them back on your chest without touching anything on the monitor.
Can I return the monitor late?
You have up to half an hour after your assigned time to return the monitor. After this, there is a charge of late return.
Can I go to work wearing this?
Depends on the kind of work you do. Try not to do heavy lifting and activities that can harm or break the device.
Can I take off the stickers myself or do I have to come here and take them off?
You may take off the stickers at home if you are comfortable, or you may ask for assistance at the front desk. You can also go into the washroom and take them off yourself.
Can someone else return the device for me?
Yes, they may as long as they have the patient diary.
When will I get the report?
The report will be sent to your family doctor within 1-2 weeks.
How do I know the device is on?
There is a small green light that will flash every now and then to let you know that the device is on. Apart from that, the screen will not display anything.
